Ja Morant’s 2023-2024 NBA season was fraught with setbacks.

This injury, alongside long-term issues for teammates Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart, significantly hampered the Grizzlies’ season, which had started with considerable optimism.
Morant, who had been away from both the court and media spotlight since early January, reappeared during the Grizzlies’ end-of-season media availability on Monday. He shared insights about his time on the sidelines this season, discussed his plans for the offseason, and talked about his involvement with a new AAU team.
Off the court, Morant’s personal life is also taking an exciting turn. He is reportedly engaged to Shayanne, a 26-year-old Instagram model from Atlanta. The alleged engagement news broke following her trip to Jamaica with friends, during which she reportedly shared the news. Shayanne has been seen at various games, and subtle social media interactions, including being followed by Ja’s sister, hint at their relationship’s progression.
Ja remains optimistic about his team’s prospects, believing in their championship potential for the next season. “I think we can do it next season, honestly, God willing, everybody stays healthy. As far as any other thing that goes on about the roster, I think that’s above me,” he expressed.
