Is Robert Saleh the next NFL head coach to be fired?
Reports are circulating that a prominent NFL head coach and his team might part ways soon, despite the recent completion of the 2024 HC hiring cycle.
Bklyn929, a New York Jets fan and X/Twitter user, widely recognized as “Sack Exchange,” is reporting a “50/50 chance” that Robert Saleh may not return for a fourth season as the Jets’ head coach. Of course this isn’t confirmed by any means, but like the X user candidly pointed out, he’s been right before.

This speculation coincides with a recent report by Dianna Russini and Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, shedding light on the internal tensions within the Jets organization during the past season.
One notable incident involved Saleh threatening to confiscate staffers’ cell phones in an attempt to identify the source of a leaked story about quarterback Zach Wilson’s reluctance to rejoin the Jets’ lineup.
The Jets’ performance shifted from a 4-13 record in 2021 (Saleh’s inaugural year) to 7-10 over each of the subsequent two seasons. Although owner Woody Johnson seemingly expressed confidence in Saleh after the regular season, recent developments suggest there might be reconsiderations on either side.
