Former NFL running back Sony Michel woke up to shocking news that he had passed away in a motorcycle accident, which turned out to be a rumor started by an unreliable source.
Michel promptly responded to the false news, calling it “fake news.”
Fans were rightfully upset at the person responsible for spreading the false information.

Michel, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, is alive and well. He spent three seasons with the Patriots and scored a pivotal touchdown in their Super Bowl LIII victory.
He was later traded to the Los Angeles Rams and won another Super Bowl with them.
Michel also had a brief stint with the Miami Dolphins before playing for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022.
He eventually retired at the age of 28, finishing his career with impressive statistics of 3,342 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns.
