Social media is at it again.
Many on social media expressed outrage as the top-seeded Purdue Boilermakers led by star center Zach Edey advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament after defeating the second-seeded Tennessee Volunteers 72-66.
The outrage was primarily directed at the amount of fouls that were called as the Volunteers were trying to defend Edey who stands at 7’4″.
Edey was simply unstoppable with 40 points and 16 rebounds with 14 of those points coming from the free throw line as Edey attempted an astounding 22 free throws in the game.
Edey was called for one foul during the game and Purdue as a team was called for 12 fouls.
Meanwhile, the Volunteers were called for 25 fouls and Edey drew 15 of those foul calls.

This had the hilarious nickname “Foul Ming” trending on X for Edey which is a reference to legendary Chinese basketball player Yao Ming who played 10 seasons in the NBA for the Houston Rockets standing at 7’6″.
Purdue will await the winner of Duke and North Carolina State to see who they will play in their Final Four match-up in Phoenix, Arizona.
The safest bet on the board is that “Foul Ming” will likely be trending once again during that game.
