Caitlin Clark, the Iowa Hawkeyes standout, made a memorable appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend, charming the live audience and elevating her celebrity status just before the WNBA Draft and her anticipated professional debut.
During her stint on SNL, Clark featured on the “Weekend Update” segment alongside hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che. The soon-to-be Indiana Fever player playfully confronted Che about his past jokes on women’s basketball, but concluded by expressing gratitude towards the legends of women’s basketball who paved the way.
Not only was Clark’s SNL appearance a hit, but she also took the opportunity to enjoy New York’s nightlife ahead of Monday’s draft. Swapping her on-screen varsity jacket and black pants for a chic ensemble, Clark stepped out in a stylish white cropped top, black wide-legged pants, accessorized with a sling bag, Nike sneakers, and some tasteful jewelry.

Apparently the SNL Afterparty lasted until 4am:
As the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, Clark has left an indelible mark on college basketball. Although she didn’t secure a National Championship, her record-breaking 3,951 career points place her sixth on the all-time scoring list across all divisions.
Last month, she surpassed Pete Maravich’s record to become the top scorer in D-I history, men or women, and earlier this season she overtook Kelsey Plum for the women’s NCAA record and Lynette Woodard’s total of 3,649 points, scored for Kansas from 1977 to 1981.
With her move to the WNBA, Caitlin Clark is poised to continue making waves in basketball. The Indiana Fever, recognizing her star power, will have 36 of their 40 regular-season games broadcast nationally, hoping to capitalize on the Caitlin Clark phenomenon.
