NBC has announced that Snoop Dogg will be joining their coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The rapper and media personality will provide regular reports for the Olympic Primetime Show, starting on July 26, 2024, on NBC and Peacock.
Snoop Dogg will engage with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico and offer primetime coverage at various events during the Olympic Games. He is expected to explore iconic landmarks in Paris, attend Olympic competitions and events, and interact with athletes, friends, and families. Snoop Dogg previously collaborated with Kevin Hart for coverage during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and his unique perspective earned him the role of Special Correspondent for the Paris Olympics, according to NBC Olympic Production president Molly Solomon.

“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” Snoop said in a statement.
“We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”
The announcement was made during NBC’s Sunday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings. Snoop Dogg has already filmed segments with Team USA athletes, including gymnast Suni Lee, basketball star A’ja Wilson, skateboarder Jagger Eaton, and beach volleyball duo Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes.
Some internet users weighed in on the announcement:
The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will be the third time the city hosts the event, with competitions taking place at iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles.
If there were ever an Olympics for cannabis consumption, there’s no doubt Snoop Dogg would secure the Gold medal.
