Skip Bayless and FS1 are currently in the process of finding a permanent replacement for Shannon Sharpe on their popular sports debate show.
Despite rumors surrounding potential replacements such as LeSean McCoy and Richard Sherman, no formal offers have been made. In the meantime, Skip Bayless has enlisted the help of his friend and sports enthusiast, Lil Wayne, to make guest appearances on the show and bridge the gap between Sharpe’s departure and the arrival of a new co-host.
Bayless announced on his podcast, The Skip Bayless Show, that Lil Wayne will be joining him every Friday for a live segment.

Bayless praised Lil Wayne’s deep knowledge and emotional investment in sports, noting that he brings a unique perspective to the show.
“He is so deep when it comes to sports,” Skip said of Wayne. “He doesn’t yell or scream, but he does get emotional. And you hang on his every word because, trust me, he has thought through every single word.” He added, “I like to say that I see things and say things others don’t; Wayne is my match, […] That’s why I love him so much. That’s why we text so much about sports. We’re kindred spirits, but we do see things differently, but very deeply.”
The two have developed a close friendship and frequently exchange texts about sports, despite having different viewpoints.
Bayless considers Lil Wayne to be his perfect match in terms of discussing sports on the show.
