Following yet another disappointing NCAA Tournament exit for Kentucky, Skip Bayless has declared that it’s time for a change at the helm of the basketball program.
During Friday’s episode of “Undisputed,” Bayless voiced his opinion that Kentucky should part ways with longtime head coach John Calipari.
“It’s evident that change is needed,” Bayless asserted. “Calipari needs to make some adjustments.”
Bayless pointed to Kentucky’s recent tournament performances, highlighting a string of underwhelming results over the past five years. He cited instances where the team either missed the tournament altogether or suffered early upsets, including a recent loss to a 14-seed.

Additionally, Bayless noted Kentucky’s lackluster performance in the SEC Tournament, winning only one game in the past four years. This stark decline contrasts sharply with the program’s previous dominance in the NCAA Tournament.
Looking ahead, Bayless emphasized the necessity for Calipari to enact significant changes if he wishes to restore Kentucky’s basketball program to its former glory. However, whether Calipari will remain with the team for the next season remains uncertain.
