Simone Biles’ family is showing off their dancing skills.
The 26-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared a video on Saturday featuring her husband, Jonathan Owens, imparting the “STL dance” to her father, Ronald Biles, and her godfather, Uncle Paul. The dance was originally performed by Owens during an NFL game, and this moment turned into a special bonding experience.
Simone expressed the wholesomeness of the video in the caption, writing, “This video is so wholesome ? Jonathan teaching my dad & godfather the STL dance he did after his touchdown.”
In the Instagram Story clip, 28-year-old Owens stood between his father-in-law and Simone’s godfather, demonstrating dance moves in the hallway. With arms raised, he guided the pair through the steps, adding playful encouragement. Simone’s laughter could be heard behind the camera as the heartwarming dance lesson unfolded.

The video captured a delightful family moment as Simone’s husband and father shared the joy of dance.
The heartwarming scene follows the reunion of the couple after spending some days apart over the New Year. Simone attended a friend’s wedding on New Year’s Eve, while Owens stayed in Wisconsin with his team, the Green Bay Packers, for their game against the Minnesota Vikings.
During their time apart, Owens showed his love with a gesture of three giant bouquets, as seen in a photo shared by Simone on her Instagram Story. The snapshot displayed two bouquets of red and white roses, along with a bouquet of pink lilies and carnations, arranged in a woven basket on an island in Biles’ kitchen.
Simone expressed her appreciation, writing, “My husband >>>>,” in the caption. A photo of the couple hanging on the wall in the background hinted at the bond they share.
In addition to dance sessions, Uncle Paul played a significant role in Simone and Owens’ second wedding ceremony in Mexico in May. The couple initially got married on April 22, 2023, at a courthouse in Houston before hosting a larger celebration attended by family and friends.
Biles has previously highlighted the positive influence of her parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, who adopted her at the age of 6, along with her younger sister Adria. She emphasized the impact of her family during an episode of her Facebook Watch series, “Simone Vs. Herself,” recounting her journey from being separated from her biological mom to being placed in foster care before officially being adopted by her grandparents.
