Simone Biles recently showcased her husband’s new tattoo on Instagram, and fans are buzzing about its significance.
The Olympian, 27, shared a photo of Jonathan Owens’ latest ink on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 6. The tattoo, an “S” on his ring finger, appears to be a sweet nod to his wife’s first initial.
In the snapshot, Biles is seen holding up Owens’ hand, proudly displaying his new body art. The intimate gesture has fans speculating about the deep bond between the couple. Biles’ reaction to the tattoo was filled with emotion, as she added two screaming-face emojis, two red hearts, and a couple of crossed fingers to the post.
Although Owens, 28, hasn’t explicitly stated the tattoo’s meaning, it seems clear that it’s a tribute to Biles. The Chicago Bears player has been a steadfast supporter of his wife, especially as she gears up for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Biles recently confirmed to reporters on June 30 that Owens will be there to cheer her on at the Olympics, thanks to some granted vacation time from his new team. “The Bears are actually granting him a couple of days off from training camp, so he’ll be there,” Biles revealed. “Yes, for just a short little time.”
The couple, who met on a dating app in 2020 and married in 2023, continue to show their strong bond through thoughtful gestures and support.
Owens has been showering Biles with gifts ahead of her Olympic journey. Before the second night of the U.S. Olympic Trials, Owens appeared on Biles’ Instagram, posing next to a pair of Louis Vuitton bags in a photo captioned “WHYYYYY.” In another image, he held a pot full of pink roses, clearly meant to encourage and celebrate Biles.
Biles, now qualified for her third Olympic Games, has also been reflecting on her age and experience.
At 27, she is one of the oldest gymnasts competing in the upcoming Summer Games. She humorously acknowledged her past comments about age, apologizing to her 2016 Rio Olympic Games team captain Aly Raisman for calling her the “grandma” of the team when Raisman was just 22.
“So now, I definitely have to apologize to Aly for calling her grandma because, whew, I feel like I’m way older now than me calling her grandma when we were younger,” Biles said in an interview with Gymnastics Now. She added, “And you know, it’s what, 11 p.m.? So, it’s definitely past my bedtime, so I know Aly would be cracking up right now. But yeah, it’s crazy. I’m a lot older and more mature. What was the rest of the question? See, I’m forgetting.”
Fans eagerly await Biles’ performance as she competes in Paris starting July 27, hoping to see her add more gold to her already impressive collection.
