Simone Biles has been exceptionally busy at the Paris Olympics, securing gold medals in both the team final and the individual all-around.
Despite her hectic schedule, she managed to catch wind of comments made by Donald Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists convention earlier this week.
During his interview on Wednesday, Trump made a controversial remark about immigrants allegedly taking jobs away from Black Americans. “I will tell you that coming from the border are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking Black jobs,” Trump said, as reported by The Hill.
When asked to clarify what he meant by a “Black job,” Trump’s response was notably ambiguous. “A Black job is anybody that has a job. That’s what it is,” he stated. “Anybody that has a job.”
The following day, a political commentator took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a message connecting Trump’s comments to Biles’ achievements: “Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning gold medals, and dominating gymnastics is her Black job.”
Biles, who is the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, noticed this post and chose to respond with what seemed to be a subtle jab at Trump. “I love my black job,” Biles replied, a statement that many of her fans interpreted as a direct retort to Trump’s comments.

Biles’ response quickly garnered attention, with supporters viewing it as a clever and dignified way to address the issue. While the comment may appear to be a slight at Trump, it also underscores Biles’ pride in her achievements and her identity.
Amid the political discourse, Biles continues to shine as a world-class athlete, demonstrating her unparalleled talent and dedication at the Olympics. Her focus remains on her performance and her love for the sport.
“I don’t keep count, I don’t keep stats,” Biles told People. “I just go out here and do what I’m supposed to and I’m doing what I love and enjoying it, so that’s really all that matters to me.”
As she adds more accolades to her already illustrious career, Biles exemplifies excellence and resilience, both on and off the gymnastics floor.
Her achievements in Paris not only reinforce her status as the greatest of all time but also highlight her ability to inspire and uplift others through her actions and words.
