Simone Biles has returned home after her historic and record-breaking performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she secured three gold medals and one silver.
The 27-year-old gymnast, who continues to solidify her legacy as one of the greatest athletes of all time, didn’t head straight back to the U.S. after the closing ceremony—instead, she took a moment to celebrate her achievements in style.
On Monday, August 12, Biles shared a series of Instagram Stories giving her followers a glimpse into her post-Olympic celebrations at L’Arc Paris nightclub. The night was filled with joy and revelry, as Biles and her friends marked the end of an extraordinary Olympic journey. In one of the videos, signs reading “gym legend” were held high, a fitting tribute to Biles’ dominance in the sport. She humorously captioned the video, “The reason I’m unwell this morning,” hinting at a night of well-deserved celebration.
Following the festivities, Biles posted a photo from her plane as she touched down back in the United States. But before she left Paris, she couldn’t resist sharing one last clip from the club, where she was seen dancing and singing along to Waka Flocka Flame’s “Grove St. Party,” tagging her sister Adria in the post. Showing her playful side, Biles wrote, “If you see me out at the club, pls tell me to go home for my own sake & health in the am,” complete with a laughing emoji.
Once back on U.S. soil, Biles shared a serene photo of a pool against a vibrant orange sky, simply captioning it with “Home” and a teary-eyed emoji, capturing the bittersweet end of her Olympic adventure. Later, she posted a selfie from the comfort of her bed, expressing her contentment with the words, “Never been so happy.”
Biles’ return home comes after an unforgettable closing ceremony, where she had the distinct honor of carrying the Olympic flag.
Despite wearing a precautionary boot on her foot, Biles walked proudly onto the stage at the Stade de France, joining Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass as musician H.E.R. performed the American national anthem.
The ceremony also featured a dramatic entrance by Tom Cruise, who made a grand appearance, soaring into the crowd as the event transitioned to the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
