Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens’ dream house may still be under construction, but that hasn’t stopped the couple from making it feel like home already!
On Saturday, August 31, the Olympic gold medalist and the Chicago Bears safety shared a cozy moment with their fans, posting a sweet selfie on Instagram. The picture, taken in what appears to be a room with a mirror-covered ceiling, captures the couple cuddled up in their soon-to-be Texas dream home—a project they’ve been working on for the past year.
Biles, 27, who frequently shares updates about their home-building journey, didn’t just stop at the selfie. She also posted another photo of Owens, 29, standing proudly in front of a stunning black marble fireplace. The gymnast added a heartfelt caption to the image, writing, “Building our dream home ?,” while holding hands with her NFL star husband. She continued, “So lucky to do this thing called life with you ?,” capturing the deep connection they share as they build their future together.
These latest glimpses into their ongoing project come just days after Biles provided fans with another construction update. On August 22, she shared a video showcasing the nearly completed kitchen in their waterfront home. The monochrome kitchen features sleek black and white marble countertops paired with elegant white cabinets. “So excited to make this house a HOME … a couple more months:),” Biles wrote over the clip, hinting at how close they are to moving in.

That same day, the gymnast also gave a peek into the extensive planning still ahead. In another Instagram post, Biles revealed she was deep in meetings about various aspects of the house, including landscaping, pool design, and the installation of audio and security systems. “House meetings all day,” she captioned a mirror selfie, listing the numerous details they are still fine-tuning to bring their dream home to life.
Biles has been sharing the journey of building their home from the very beginning, documenting the progress since last summer. The first glimpse came in early September 2023 when she posted a photo of the home’s wooden framework and concrete floors, simply captioning it, “Loading… ???.”
Throughout the process, Biles has been transparent about the ups and downs of construction. In November 2023, she candidly shared the frustrations that come with such a large project. After an unexpectedly long “trim walk” to review interior details, she posted a video with the caption, “I cannot deal anymore.” She added, “Yesterday I was here from 11am-5pm…..?,” revealing that what she thought would be a quick check-in turned into an all-day affair due to unforeseen issues.
The couple’s home-building adventure began shortly after they celebrated their love in two wedding ceremonies. They officially tied the knot on April 22, 2023, at the Harris County Courthouse in Houston, followed by a beautiful destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas in May 2023.
Biles and Owens’ love story began in March 2020 when they met through the dating app Raya. Their relationship blossomed, leading to their engagement in February 2022.
Now, as they near the completion of their dream home, the couple continues to share their journey with the world, inviting fans into the personal moments that mark this exciting chapter of their lives.
