According to reports, Shannon Sharpe has engaged in discussions with ESPN regarding a potential new role.
This information comes from Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, who states that the former Undisputed co-host has been in talks with ESPN about a “high-profile contributor role.”
This role would involve Sharpe debating Stephen A. Smith on First Take, as the show often features different hosts debating Smith.

Additionally, Sharpe would still be able to continue hosting his popular “Club Shay Shay” podcast, which boasts over a million subscribers.
The prospect of seeing Sharpe and Smith engage in debates on television is undoubtedly appealing, especially considering Sharpe’s history of dynamic debates with Bayless in recent years.
