Kyler Murray’s absence for the entire 2023 season is becoming increasingly likely after a trade made by the Arizona Cardinals.
Currently recovering from a torn ACL suffered last December, Murray may not take a single snap in the upcoming campaign.
The Cardinals made a significant move on Thursday by acquiring quarterback Joshua Dobbs, trading a late-round 2024 draft pick to the Cleveland Browns for the experienced player.

The starting QB position for the Cardinals remains uncertain, with Colt McCoy and David Blough also in contention.
Additionally, Jeff Driskel was brought in this offseason, further complicating the decision. Dobbs, previously serving as Deshaun Watson’s backup in Cleveland, could potentially become the Cardinals’ primary quarterback in 2023, as the team’s GM has previous experience with him during their time together with the Titans.

Moreover, their offensive coordinator, Drew Petzing, formerly worked with Dobbs as a quarterbacks coach for the Browns.
Furthermore, the Cardinals made three trades on the day, accumulating draft capital for 2024.
