The spirited “Senior Swifties” from the Primrose Retirement Community in Sedalia, Missouri showcased their enthusiasm in a video ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff game against the Buffalo Bills, which they eventually won 27-24.
Dancing to the beat of “Swag Surfin” by F.L.Y. (Fast Life Yungstaz), the group, proudly sporting Kansas City Chiefs T-shirts and baseball caps, went by their self-proclaimed moniker, “Senior Swifties.”
In a playful routine, they circled in their seats, holding onto their heads, and when the music dropped, they extended their arms in a surfing motion, swaying left and right. The Senior Swifties then added a doggy paddling motion, alternating their arms.
Sporting signs with messages like “Senior Swifties” and references to Chiefs player Travis Kelce, the group brought their unique energy to the cheering scene. Connie Chevalier, who shared the video on Facebook, humorously referred to them as the “Primrose Sedalia Chiefs Cheerleaders” and highlighted their previous performance of “Red Kingdom” by Tech N9ne.

While not dancing to a Taylor Swift song, the name “Senior Swifties” pays homage to the pop star’s fanbase. Taylor Swift, who has been seen cheering for her boyfriend Travis Kelce at Chiefs’ games, was also spotted celebrating Kelce’s touchdown during a recent game against the Bills. Kelce, in turn, reciprocated by forming a heart with his hands, a move inspired by Swift’s signature gesture.
Residents at Brightview White Marsh joined the fun, creating a TikTok video to welcome Taylor Swift to Baltimore, expressing hope that she would come to the city to watch Kelce play against the Baltimore Ravens.
In the video, residents offered suggestions for activities Swift could enjoy in the city, extending a warm welcome to the Grammy-winning artist.
