Travis Kelce shared an amusing interaction he had with Secret Service agents during his recent White House visit with the Kansas City Chiefs.
While speaking on his New Heights podcast, Kelce recounted how the agents playfully warned him about approaching the president’s podium, suggesting they might ‘tase’ him if he did.
Secret Service spokesperson Nathan Herring later clarified to People that the comments were all in good humor. “Our agents and officers were happy to support Travis and the Chiefs during their official White House visit and even presented him with a Secret Service pin,” Herring explained. “The taser comment was just some friendly banter, as we have passionate football fans throughout our organization.”

During the May 31 visit, President Joe Biden invited Kelce to speak, referencing his previous antics at the podium from last year’s visit. “I’d have Travis come up here, but God only knows what he’d say,” Biden joked, before adding, “Travis, come here. It’s all yours, pal.”
Kelce, playing along with the joke, addressed the crowd: “My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all again. I’m not gonna lie, President Biden, they told me if I came up here I’d get tased, so I’m gonna go back to my spot.”
This visit marks another chapter in the tradition of championship teams visiting the White House. The Chiefs have claimed the Super Bowl title three times in the past five years, including a recent victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, the favorite team of First Lady Jill Biden. They also defeated the San Francisco 49ers for the 2020 Super Bowl title.
