Great news for the Scheffler family!
Golfer Scottie Scheffler announced the much-anticipated birth of his son, Bennett Scheffler.
This from Scheffler on Instagram:
Scottie Scheffler’s recent dominance on the green has been nothing short of impressive, clinching victory at the RBC Heritage shortly after his second Masters triumph. With four wins in his last five tournaments, his only near-miss was a commendable runner-up finish at the Houston Open.

Despite formidable competition, including Rory McIlroy’s consecutive victories and defending champion Brooks Koepka’s recent win at LIV Golf Singapore, Scheffler remains the favored contender. McIlroy’s last major triumph was at Valhalla in 2014, while Koepka, who tied for 15th in the same event, joined the PGA Tour a year later.
Scheffler aims to etch his name in golf history by becoming the first player since Jordan Spieth in 2015, and only the fifth since 1960, to secure back-to-back victories in the year’s first two majors.
The birth of Scheffler’s son has been of much conversation as during his Masters win Scheffler stated that he was going to withdraw at the tournament if his wife went into labor at any point.
That of course did not happen as Scheffler went on to win the Masters.
