Savannah James shared some personal memories from high school on her podcast “Everybody’s Crazy,” which she co-hosts with April Daniels.
Savannah recalled that her high school days were marked by conflict, especially after she began dating her now-husband, LeBron James.
“I was fighting,” Savannah revealed. “I don’t [love to fight]. But I had to defend myself. I had a lot of that. I had girls who didn’t like me and couldn’t tell nobody why they didn’t like me… I do feel like a lot of the fights I had, it was just me being an ally of my friends. I don’t feel like I really fought a fight that was my fight. Because I was nice. I got along with a majority of everybody.”
Daniels humorously noted that she would have been jealous too, suggesting that envy over Savannah dating the future NBA star might have been why other girls were hostile.
“They’re like, ‘Why couldn’t it be me?’” Daniels joked.
“I don’t know,” Savannah responded.

Savannah also reflected on her personal growth, expressing a wish that she had started focusing on self-care earlier in life. “I think the only thing I would’ve done differently is started to take care of myself sooner,” she said. “That’s the only thing I would’ve done differently. Anything else, having babies young, all of that, it happened. Like April said, that’s a part of my journey. But I do think that pouring into myself and making space for myself sooner, I would’ve liked to start that earlier.”
Savannah and LeBron James have three children together: sons Bronny, 19, Bryce, 16, and daughter Zhuri, 9.
In other news, LeBron James’ future with the Lakers remains uncertain as he has the option to opt out of his contract this offseason.
Amid these speculations, the Lakers are reportedly preparing to make a significant offer to Dan Hurley, who recently won back-to-back national championships with UConn, to fill their head coaching vacancy. This follows the Lakers’ decision to fire Darvin Ham after a disappointing season, culminating in a first-round playoff exit against the Nuggets.
