Saturday Night Live paid homage to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in its latest episode, taking a lighthearted jab at LSU Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey in the process.
Portrayed by Heidi Gardner, Mulkey, known as the highest-paid head coach in women’s basketball, was comically depicted wearing a vibrant pink jacket, which Gardner humorously quipped was reminiscent of “the Riddler going to Talbots.”
The SNL cast members further highlighted the excitement surrounding the women’s tournament while playfully teasing the men’s.
“The women’s tournament is where all the action is happening. Did you see the Iowa vs. Connecticut game? Caitlin Clark facing off against Paige Bueckers attracted a whopping 14 million viewers. That’s Young Sheldon numbers,” one actor exclaimed.
