Tiffany Seeley, the ex-wife of former quarterback Ryan Mallett, has spoken out about his tragic drowning death in Florida earlier this week.
Mallett, who had played for teams such as the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens, drowned while swimming off the Florida Panhandle.
He was unresponsive when he was pulled out of the water. The 35-year-old had been working as a high school coach before his untimely passing. After the incident, Mallett’s ex-wife paid tribute to him on social media by sharing a photo of themselves on her Instagram Story.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who had reached out and mentioned that her heart breaks for everyone affected by the loss.
Mallett and Seeley, an adult star, were married for a brief period of around four months in 2020.
During the time of his drowning, Mallett was on vacation with his current girlfriend, Madison Carter.
Their relationship was relatively new and had just been made public on social media earlier this month. Initially, it was speculated that dangerous water conditions and the disregard of red-flag warnings led to the former quarterback’s death.
However, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office clarified that the area where Mallett was swimming did not have riptides, and there were no red flags indicating unsafe water conditions. Therefore, Mallett’s death was considered incidental, according to Sheriff Eric Aden.
RIP Mallett.
