A-list actor Ryan Gosling, also known for his recent role as Ken, donned the classic celebrity disguise of sunglasses and a baseball cap at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Attending the women’s gymnastics uneven bars final, Gosling sported a green Olympics baseball cap and shades, while his partner, Eva Mendes, looked even more chic in white-framed sunglasses.
The couple was reportedly there with their children, Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 8, although NBC Sports chose not to show them on camera.

While the United States’ Suni Lee continued her dramatic comeback with another bronze medal, Gosling and Mendes drew attention for their attempt at blending in.
One can only hope that Gosling and Mendes managed to catch all the dramatic action inside the Bercy Arena in Paris despite their shades. Ironically, wearing sunglasses indoors often makes A-list celebrities more noticeable to NBC’s cameras. Unlike someone like Snoop Dogg, whose seating is usually known, Gosling and Mendes seem like the type who prefer not to be “caught” on camera.
Despite their best efforts, social media users had a field day mocking the attractive Hollywood couple. Some of the standout comments included:
On Instagram, the most popular comment on NBC Sports’ post was, “The sunglasses are more attention-seeking than anything. Get over yourself.”
Another user wrote, “Sunglasses Indoors. Cool as the other side of the pillow.”
And one user pointed out the obvious: “FYI – Sunglasses indoors is not a good disguise.” Agreed!
On Twitter, the feedback was similar, with users poking fun at the couple’s indoor sunglasses choice.
However, not everyone was critical. One user, echoing our sentiments, thought Mendes looked amazing.
Perhaps the best comment summed it up perfectly: “I look forward to the camera showing us them over and over again. vs Tom Cruise or John Travolta! Just me?”
Regardless of the mixed reactions, Gosling and Mendes’ presence at the Olympics added a touch of Hollywood glamor to the event, and their attempt at a low-key appearance only fueled the fun for fans and critics alike.
