Earlier this month, Ryan Clark hinted at the possibility of parting ways with ESPN after revealing in a social media video that his contract with the network had expired and that there were disagreements over his value.
While Clark didn’t rule out a return to ESPN, speculation arose about him exploring opportunities elsewhere, especially considering his existing roles hosting Inside The NFL on The CW and co-hosting the Pivot podcast with Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor.
However, according to a report from Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Clark has informally agreed to a new deal to stay at ESPN. The negotiation process was marked by Clark’s outspokenness, but ultimately, he has decided to remain with the network.
The terms of the deal are expected to be announced soon, although ESPN has declined to comment on the matter.

Under this new agreement, Clark is expected to continue his podcast, “The Pivot,” which is not affiliated with ESPN. Additionally, he will likely maintain his role as a contributor to ESPN’s “NFL Live” and his appearances on “Monday Night Countdown.” Clark’s versatility and expertise as an NFL analyst have been highly regarded by ESPN, and his continued presence is seen as a positive development for the network.
However, it remains to be seen whether Clark will retain all of his previous roles at ESPN or if there will be adjustments to his workload. Clark has expressed a desire to work less and prioritize rest, particularly considering the varied timing of his appearances on shows like Get Up, Monday Night Countdown, and SportsCenter.
The details of his extended contract with ESPN will shed more light on his future commitments and responsibilities with the network.
