Russell Wilson’s revenge tour is in full swing.
The 2023 NFL season proved to be a challenging period for quarterback Russell Wilson, resulting in a significant financial loss for his team as they moved to release him from his contract.
Wilson’s tenure with the Denver Broncos ended abruptly after a disappointing season, leading to him being bened from his starting position and ultimately released from the team.
In an effort to rejuvenate his career, he signed a veteran minimum contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since joining the Steelers, Wilson has been proactive in demonstrating his commitment to returning to his peak performance levels.
On a recent Tuesday night, Wilson took to Instagram to share a glimpse of his rigorous training regimen.
He posted a series of photos and videos capturing his intense workout session, which included a focus on boxing—a sport he credited for his strong performances in the years prior to the pandemic. In his post, Wilson highlighted his return to boxing, a routine he had paused since the onset of COVID-19 in 2020. “Back in the Ring. Started in 2018 through 2020. Had some of my best years. Then COVID hit in 2020 and couldn’t go back in. Good to see my guys again,” Wilson wrote, sharing his enthusiasm about reuniting with his training crew and revisiting a form of exercise that he deeply values.

As a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Wilson’s ambitions remain high. He aims to leave the difficulties of the 2023 season behind and lead the Steelers to another playoff run.
The Steelers, under the leadership of coach Mike Tomlin, have maintained a record of not having a losing season, a legacy that Wilson is eager to uphold and contribute to as he integrates into his new team environment.
