Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has expressed his admiration for his new head coach, Sean Payton, in the Mile High City.
In a recent interview on SiriusXM Radio, Wilson described Payton as a “winner” and praised his ability to teach the game.
Wilson also commended Payton’s unwavering desire to be the best.
He shared that he had the opportunity to get to know Payton during their time together in the Pro Bowl and emphasized that Payton’s commitment to excellence is consistent and unwavering.
Wilson also highlighted Payton’s leadership skills and his ability to guide the entire organization.
“We’ve shared a locker room together with the Pro Bowl, so I got to know him a little bit before then. He’s the same guy every day in the sense that he wants to be the best in the world,” Wilson said. “That doesn’t change. I think the thing about him, you always heard about the brilliance he has and the craft of the game, but the best thing is how he leads the whole organization.”

In the Broncos’ preseason opener against the Cardinals, Wilson showcased his skills by completing 7-of-13 pass attempts for 93 yards and a touchdown.
The success of the Broncos in the AFC West this season will greatly depend on Wilson’s ability to effectively execute Payton’s offense.
Failure to do so may lead to an uncomfortable situation for Wilson.
