Steelers fans have warmly embraced Ciara, affectionately calling her the ‘First Lady of Pittsburgh,’ after she was spotted shooting hoops with her husband, new Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, and their children. The family made a visit to Kennywood amusement park in Pennsylvania for a bonding event with Wilson’s new teammates.
The Steelers shared a video on social media platform X, showing the singer engaging in a basketball carnival game, with the caption “Buckets.” Russell Wilson added to the excitement, commenting, “Team Family Day!”
Fans quickly expressed their enthusiasm. One fan responded to the post, saying, “I just love that Russell Wilson and family are here in Pittsburgh!!!” Another fan commented on Ciara’s new moniker, “Ciara being the First Lady of Pittsburgh is still wild,” while a third remarked, “Pittsburgh’s first lady getting buckets.”

The outing also included Steelers players Justin Fields, Mason McCormick, and Troy Fautanu, who enjoyed riding rollercoasters at the park. Kennywood captured the spirit of the day on its Facebook page, noting, “Phantom rides and Potato Patch fries… We couldn’t think of a better way to bond.”
Since signing with the Steelers during free agency, Wilson has been visible around Pennsylvania, including a memorable appearance onstage with Kenny Chesney at Acrisure Stadium and presenting a Steelers jersey to Zac Brown.
Ciara recently celebrated her husband’s new chapter following his departure from the Denver Broncos, where he spent two challenging seasons. She posted on social media, “One of One! My greatest inspiration! I love you #3 #Grateful.”
Russell Wilson, a former Super Bowl champion, was released by the Broncos just before free agency but was allowed to meet with other NFL teams. He joins a Steelers team that is coming off a season where they finished third in the AFC North with a 10-7 record, making it to the playoffs before a loss to the Bills.
After signing a five-year, $242.6 million contract with the Broncos, Wilson’s tenure there saw the team go 11-19 during his starts, missing the playoffs both years.
His stint with the Broncos ended on a low note when he was bened by head coach Sean Payton for the final two games of the 2023 season.
