Is Tom Brady actually going to suit up and play for the Raiders this season?
Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, said recently that he will have a limited role in his ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders.
However, there are those who believe that he may be considering a return to football.
Despite repeatedly stating that he is retired, Raiders player Maxx Crosby thinks that Brady may even play for his team this year.
“Tom Brady’s a competitor. The greatest of all time,” Raiders star Maxx Crosby said in an appearance on Buffalo Bills star Von Miller’s podcast.
“At the absolute worst, if everything doesn’t go the way it’s supposed to and we need him, I would not be surprised if Tom Brady shows up in a Raiders jersey.”
Troy Aikman also suggested earlier this year that Brady’s relationship with Las Vegas coach Josh McDaniels and his track record could lead to a comeback.
It is important to note that Brady’s partial ownership of the Raiders does not eliminate the possibility of him returning to the NFL.
If Jimmy Garoppolo, the current quarterback for the Raiders, experiences injuries, Brady may be called upon to step in and play.
