Julia Bonilla issued a passionate defense of her boyfriend as he was recently voted “most overrated” by his NBA peers.
A recent anonymous survey from The Atlantic revealed that 11 out of the 81 NBA players polled voted for Gobert as “most overrated in the NBA” which led all players.
Bonilla, who is expecting a child with Gobert, wasn’t having that.

“My partner is the most dedicated, focused, hard-working person I have ever met,” Bonilla said. “He hasn’t stolen anything from anyone and deserves all the respect for his determination and commitment to his career.”
“It’s hard for me to stay quiet in front of so much stupidity, disrespect and nonsense,” she added. “I am so proud of the person he is — fair, a great teammate, with a good heart and a strong mind.”
The Timberwolves currently hold a 1-0 playoff series lead against the Phoenix Suns.
Bonilla announced that she is expecting her first child with Gobert back in February.
Despite apparently being considered “overrated,” Gobert is once again a finalist for the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award.
The 7’1″ center previously won the award in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
