ESPN’s Robert Griffin III is never afraid to speak his mind on social media.
The former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and current ESPN analyst has become quite a popular account to follow on X as well as Instagram and TikTok.
RG3 was rather critical of the Chicago Bears trade of quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a sixth-round conditional pick in 2025 on Saturday.

On Monday, Griffin caused quite a stir on social media by suggesting that USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who is now fully expected to be selected by the Bears with the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft, should “pull an Eli Manning” and refuse to play for the Bears.
Griffin implies that the Bears organization is not an ideal spot for a young quarterback and suggests that Williams may question whether the Bears have his best interests at heart.
Considering the Bears reportedly “did right” by Justin Fields and rejected better trade offers to trade Fields to the Steelers which was his preferred destination, RG3 was met with plenty of people who disagreed with his assessment.
Despite RG3’s impassioned plea, there is no indication that Caleb Williams will “pull an Eli Manning” if he does get drafted first overall by the Bears.
