New England Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski has responded to team owner Robert Kraft’s recent suggestion that pop star Taylor Swift should date him instead of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce due to his purportedly superior looks.
Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion with both the Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, brushed off Kraft’s remarks as “silly,” emphasizing his contentment in his long-term relationship with Sports Illustrated model Camille Kostek since 2015.
In a podcast appearance on MassLive’s ‘Eye on Foxborough,’ Gronkowski, 34, playfully acknowledged Kraft’s penchant for jests, labeling him as “always being silly.” He then expressed gratitude for Kraft’s compliments on his appearance, humorously suggesting that if Kraft deemed him better looking than Kelce, it elevated him to “a 10.2” on the attractiveness scale.

‘But I’m very happy to be with my girl, Camille. She’s a sweetheart. She was actually a Patriots cheerleader. We go down in history. But Mr. Kraft always has a job. And he’s always got silly jokes out there too. So that’s just Mr. Kraft for you.’
‘And I appreciate his comments,’ he further pointed out. ‘You know, commenting on my looks, saying I’m very good looking because I will say Travis is a dime piece. He’s a 10 out of 10. So if he says I’m better looking than Travis Kelce, then hey, I’m like a 10.2.’
Kraft’s remarks came during a conversation with fans about Swift’s success and her first stadium concert at Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots. Reflecting on presenting Swift with a framed ticket from that concert, Kraft playfully remarked that perhaps Swift should have dated Gronkowski instead of Kelce, given his purportedly superior looks.
Despite the lighthearted banter, Gronkowski and Kelce are often pitted against each other in discussions about the best tight end of the 21st century. While Kelce holds statistical advantages in various categories such as games played, receptions, and receiving yards, Gronkowski boasts more receiving touchdowns and Super Bowl titles. Their lone Super Bowl face-off occurred in 2021, with Gronkowski’s Buccaneers emerging victorious over Kelce’s Chiefs.
Having retired at age 33 in 2022, Gronkowski’s early departure from the NFL provides Kelce with an opportunity to close the statistical gaps between them in the years ahead. Nonetheless, both players have left an indelible mark on the league, each earning accolades and recognition as premier tight ends in their own right.
