Recently, a clip of Rob Gronkowski playfully commenting on Bill Belichick’s dating preferences resurfaced, gaining fresh attention after the revelation of Belichick’s relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.
This news was first reported by TMZ Sports, which detailed the unexpected romance between the 72-year-old former Patriots head coach and the much younger cheerleader.
The pair reportedly sparked a connection during a flight from the Boston area to Florida in 2021, shortly after Belichick’s relationship with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday had ended.
The relationship, which has developed quietly over time, is now considered serious, as Hudson and Belichick have taken steps to publicly acknowledge their partnership.
This development comes in the wake of Gronkowski’s humorous remarks at a Netflix Roast of Tom Brady last month, where he quipped about Belichick’s interest in younger women, linking it to his frequent mentions of Foxborough High School during team struggles: “Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” Gronkowski joked. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.”
Further fueling the conversation, Gronkowski made a similar joke recently during Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame ceremony, cleverly weaving together the numbers related to Brady and Belichick’s achievements with a nudge at their supposed interest in younger women, suggesting that “2024 is just [the] age [of] girls that Tom and Bill are talking to now, 24-year-olds.”
Jordon Hudson, who is a student-athlete, entrepreneur, and executive director for the special membership club Trouble Club Enterprises, first met Belichick while working on a philosophy project.
They exchanged contact details post-flight and continued their discussions, which spanned topics from her academic projects to her cheerleading endeavors.
Their interactions were discreet, with Hudson occasionally visiting Gillette Stadium during the 2022 and 2023 seasons to support Belichick.
The relationship has gradually become more public. Earlier this year, Belichick was spotted at one of Hudson’s cheerleading competitions in Maryland, where he maintained a low profile, observing from the back row before quietly exiting the venue.
The couple has also been seen together on a work trip to Croatia and at significant public events, including Tom Brady’s recent Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
As Belichick transitions away from coaching — he did not secure a coaching position for the upcoming 2024-25 NFL season — he is preparing for a new role as a regular commentator on ESPN’s Monday Night Football alongside Peyton and Eli Manning.
Meanwhile, Hudson continues to support him both personally and in his business ventures, marking a new chapter in the life of the celebrated coach.
