Richard Jefferson is apparently still dunking on people.
The San Francisco 49ers have faced significant backlash for their decision to receive the football first after Super Bowl 58 entered overtime. Criticism intensified when some players admitted their lack of awareness regarding the overtime rules, further tarnishing the team’s image.
The scrutiny even spilled over into unrelated events, such as the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game.
During the ESPN broadcast of the Celebrity All-Star Game, analyst Richard Jefferson seized the opportunity to mock the 49ers while discussing the complexities of new rules introduced during the game. “If you don’t know the rules, it can be very detrimental. Just ask the 49ers,” he quipped, delivering a sharp jab at the team.

Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan later clarified that he aimed for the third possession of the period in case of a tie after both teams had their opportunities. However, Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid countered, stating that his team would have opted for a touchdown and two-point conversion if San Francisco had scored on their drive, regardless of the situation.
Kyle Shanahan will likely find it difficult to shake off this incident.
