Can Draymond Green just get along with the young Warriors?
This week has been filled with renewed drama surrounding the altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole during practice last year.
In a podcast interview with Patrick Beverley, Green defended himself, stating that he doesn’t resort to physical violence and that there must have been an ongoing dialogue leading up to the incident. He emphasized the code of conduct among men and the things that should not be said.
Anthony Poole, Jordan’s father, fired back at Green, calling him out for avoiding him and not apologizing. He labeled Green as weak and challenged him to a meeting. Green responded to the criticism, dismissing it and stating that it was impossible for him to avoid the Pooles since he had to leave the family room after games. This led to speculation that Green may have issues with other members of the Warriors team, particularly Jonathan Kuminga, a promising young prospect. Monte Poole, a reporter, highlighted the strained relationship between Green and Kuminga, suggesting that only Green can resolve the issue.
"[Draymond Green & Jonathan Kuminga's non-relationship] is a problem and it can only be fixed by Draymond. The new contract implies the Warriors believe he can fix it, but around the league there are a lot of people saying 'I don't know.'"
