Dalvin Cook isn’t about to let the value of running backs get diminished anymore.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, former Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is looking for a significant contract as a free agent.
Pelissero revealed on the Rich Eisen show that Cook’s camp is open to both one-year and multi-year deals.
Pelissero stated that Cook is not looking for a $4-5 million contract and is seeking a deal that reflects his value and contributions to the field.
“Dalvin Cook is not looking to sign a $4-5 million contract, that is not going to happen.” Pelissero stated. “This is going to be a significant contract.”
Cook’s representatives are in negotiations that could progress quickly. Given that he already has $2 million guaranteed from the Vikings, he is also in a position to bide his time.
Cook emerged as one of the league’s premier running backs over the past four seasons, earning Pro Bowl honors four times and accumulating four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing campaigns. With his dynamic running style, versatility, and ability to find the end zone, Cook has become a coveted player in the league, and it is no surprise that he is seeking a lucrative contract now in free agency.

Therefore, the upcoming contract negotiations represent a pivotal moment in Cook’s career.
