Count Patrick Mahomes among those eagerly anticipating the release of EA Sports’ College Football 25.
The excitement is so palpable for Mahomes that he decided to bring a TV and gaming console with him to the Kansas City Chiefs training camp.
“This is my first year I’m bringing a TV,” Mahomes revealed to reporters on Tuesday after reporting for his eighth career camp. “I haven’t brought a TV ever before, but with NCAA coming out, I’m going to have to turn it on. I brought a TV for NCAA and the Olympics.”

The last time EA Sports released a college football game was NCAA Football 14 in 2013, when Mahomes was still a senior in high school.
Given the franchise’s long hiatus and its subsequent return under a new name, the excitement surrounding its release is substantial. It’s significant enough that a three-time Super Bowl MVP like Mahomes is breaking his usual routine to ensure he has time to play the game.
If EA Sports ever needed a marketing campaign for the new game, they have a ready-made endorsement from one of the NFL’s biggest stars.
