Rashee Rice’s attorney, Royce West, is on one.
Earlier in the week, West released a statement on behalf of the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver following the multi-vehicle accident he was allegedly involved in on Saturday evening in Dallas, Texas.
‘On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday.
Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly. Any and all requests for comment can be directed to his attorney Mr. Royce West of West & Associates, LLP.’

Now, West has confirmed the truth that Rice was indeed driving the Lamborghini involved in the accident which was rented from a luxury rental car company.
On Thursday afternoon, Royce West addressed reporters, stating that the Super Bowl champion is actively cooperating with the police investigation and acknowledged that he was the driver of the Lamborghini.
‘Mr. Rice acknowledged that he was driving the Lamborghini, that was the question that was asked,’ West said. ‘He responded to that. That he was driving the Lamborghini. ‘
West then offered a baffling statement regarding Rice’s character in an attempt to try and deflect attention from the accident which thankfully did not result in any serious injuries.
This from P.J. Green of Fox 4 News Kansas City:
‘#Chiefs Rashee Rice’s attorney Royce West: “Why don’t you do a story of who he is, as opposed to what occurred? Because it seems as though what you’re saying is based on this one incident, you’re going to define him based on this incident, as opposed to his entire body of work. “I would say each and every one of you, if all of us had to be defined by one incident, that would be ridiculous, as opposed to our entire body. So I’d ask that you as the media, look at his entire body of work before saying exactly who he is. That will be better.”‘
Social media users on X had a good time with this statement.
While it’s unlikely that Rice is truly a “bad” person and very possible that he has done some very positive things in his life, it’s a bit ridiculous to think the focus should be on anything besides the incident stemming from Saturday evening which could have easily been fatal for those involved.
