Amid an ongoing investigation into his involvement in a serious car crash in Dallas, Texas last month, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice shared a video on his Instagram story of him running some routes.
Rice also posted photos of him getting back into his training regimen following the high-profile crash.
Reports indicate that Rice was behind the wheel of a rented Lamborghini Urus traveling at 119 miles per hour just moments before the collision, while his friend Teddy Knox, a cornerback at SMU, was driving a Corvette at 116 miles per hour.
The collision resulted in a major crash on a Dallas interstate highway on March 31, involving multiple vehicles.
Following the crash, Rice, Knox, and three others were observed leaving the scene without ensuring the well-being of others involved.
As a consequence of his actions, Rice is now facing serious legal charges, including aggravated assault and multiple counts of collision involving injury and serious bodily injury, as outlined by local authorities.
Rice voluntarily surrendered to the police last week and was subsequently released on bond.
These developments are particularly disheartening given Rice’s recent success with the Chiefs, helping them secure their second consecutive Super Bowl victory during his rookie season in February.
