That’s a pretty penny.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was involved in a much-publicized high-speed crash back on March 30 on a Dallas, Texas expressway which he is now facing eight charges for.
Rice was allegedly driving a rented Lamborghini and engaged in a race with a fellow driver, Theodore “Teddy” Knox, driving a Corvette leased under Rice’s name at the time of the multi-vehicle crash.
Rice, Knox, and other passengers in the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene without checking on those who may have been injured.
No serious injuries were reported in the crash.
That’s why it comes as a bit of a surprise that two people who claim to have been injured in the crash have now filed a lawsuit against Rice for a large sum.

According to TMZ, Edvard Petrovsky and Irina Gromova filed a lawsuit in Dallas Count last week seeking $10 million from both Rice and Knox.
In the filing, Petrovsky and Gromova claim that some of the victims were “severely injured, bleeding, and visibly distressed.”
“The two are now suing Rice and Knox, an SMU football player, for no less than $10 million in punitive damages … after they claim they suffered, among other things, brain trauma, lacerations that required stitches and internal bleeding.”
“They’re also seeking compensatory damages for the medical bills, mental anguish, property damage and more in the suit.”
Rice or his attorney, Royce West, have yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Rice was a rookie for the Kansas City Chiefs last season as he helped them to a second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
For the 2023 regular season, Rice had 938 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns on 79 catches over 16 games.
