Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has finally broken his silence via his lawyer, Royce West.
West issued a statement on behalf of Rice who is reportedly being sought by police after being allegedly involved in a multi-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Dallas.
The statements reads:
‘On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday.
Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly. Any and all requests for comment can be directed to his attorney Mr. Royce West of West & Associates, LLP.’
Dashcam footage and pictures from the crash site have emerged as more information has been coming to light.

Earlier today, it was reported that Rice had “retained legal counsel” following the emergence of the dashcam footage.
It’s unclear if Rice has yet to be in contact with law enforcement, although the statement from Rice’s attorney seems to indicate that he has been.
Rice was a rookie out of SMU for the Kansas City Chiefs last season as he helped them to a second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
For the 2023 regular season, Rice finished had 938 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns on 79 catches over 16 games.
