Following a triumphant victory, a setback occurred as Los Angeles Rams defensive back Derion Kendrick found himself in custody just hours after his team’s win against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
According to TMZ, law enforcement sources revealed that Kendrick was pulled over for a traffic violation in Los Angeles early on Monday morning, during which a firearm was discovered in his vehicle.
Kendrick’s name appeared on jail records, indicating that he had been arrested on a felony charge related to carrying a concealed weapon. He remained in custody as of Monday afternoon.
At present, specific details about the incident remain undisclosed.
Kendrick, a 23-year-old starting cornerback for the Rams, was drafted by L.A. in the sixth round last year after a successful stint as a Georgia star. He has actively contributed in all six games this season, amassing a total of 25 tackles. As a rookie in the prior season, he participated in 15 games, concluding with 43 tackles.
