Sean McVay’s wife, Veronika Khomyn, wasn’t shy about celebrating the Los Angeles Rams’ thrilling 44–42 upset victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Moments after the game at SoFi Stadium, Khomyn took to Instagram to deliver a fiery message aimed squarely at Buffalo’s famously passionate fanbase, known as Bills Mafia.
“Sorry Bills Mafia. LA is too hot for you,” she quipped on her Instagram Stories as the Rams improved to 7–6, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
A High-Stakes Showdown
The Rams entered Sunday’s game as underdogs to the Bills, who came into the matchup riding high after a snowy victory over the 49ers in Buffalo the previous week. Despite Buffalo’s momentum and the star power of quarterback Josh Allen, the Rams stunned their visitors with a strong first half and clutch plays down the stretch.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford delivered one of his best performances of the season, completing 23 of 30 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.
On the other side, Allen was a one-man highlight reel, throwing for three touchdowns and rushing for three more. However, the Bills couldn’t complete their comeback after trailing 24–14 at halftime.
“Josh Allen is an alien,” McVay said after the game, according to NBC News. “Some of the stuff he can do and the things he can create—it’s why he’s so well-respected and regarded in this league.”
The Rams’ Rollercoaster Season
The victory was a critical moment for the Rams, who are battling to stay in the NFC playoff race. Currently sitting as the eighth seed, they’re one game behind the Commanders for the final wildcard spot. Stafford, now in his fourth season with Los Angeles, continues to lead the team after taking them to Super Bowl glory in February 2022. However, the Rams’ postseason run last year ended in disappointment with a narrow wild-card loss to Stafford’s former team, the Detroit Lions.
This season has been a mix of highs and lows for the Rams, but Sunday’s win has reignited their playoff aspirations. They’ll face a crucial test this week against their NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, on Thursday Night Football.
A Busy Fall for McVay and Khomyn
While Sean McVay has been busy navigating the Rams’ season, the McVay household has also been celebrating milestones off the field. In late October, McVay and Khomyn celebrated their son Jordan’s first birthday with an outdoor party.
“Happy 1st Birthday Jordan, thank you for making me a mama. You light up our entire world!!!” Khomyn wrote on Instagram, sharing heartfelt photos of the family celebration.
Khomyn, a luxury realtor, has been a steadfast supporter of McVay throughout his coaching career. The couple tied the knot in a glamorous ceremony at The Beverly Hills Hotel in June 2022, just months after McVay led the Rams to their first Super Bowl victory in two decades. They announced Khomyn’s pregnancy in June 2023, adding another chapter to their growing family story.

Looking Ahead
As the Rams gear up for a pivotal divisional matchup against the 49ers, Khomyn’s message to Bills Mafia has added a spark to an already exciting week. With their playoff hopes on the line, the Rams will need to channel the same energy and resilience they displayed against Buffalo.
Whether it’s on the field or off, the McVay family continues to capture attention as they balance the pressures of the NFL with personal milestones.
For now, Rams fans can revel in the sweet taste of victory—and perhaps share in Veronika Khomyn’s playful jab at one of the league’s most fervent fanbases.
