Distorted graphic images of Taylor Swift, generated using artificial intelligence, circulated on X Thursday morning, prompting her fans to flood the platform with positive posts in support of the singer.
“Protect Taylor Swift” quickly became a trending phrase as X-rated images, known as “deepfakes,” were re-shared on social media from various NSFW websites. The explicit images depicted Swift in sexually provocative and offensive poses at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
These deepfake images, created using AI, originated on multiple sites earlier in the month. Although we have seen the images, they are not shared to protect Swift’s privacy.
In response to the scandal, thousands of people joined forces to bury the AI-generated photos. Users expressed their disgust at those sharing the explicit content and emphasized the need to protect Taylor Swift.

“Those sharing the AI pics are sick and disgusting. Protect Taylor Swift at all costs,” one person wrote.
“Using AI-generated pornography of someone is awful and inexcusable. You guys need to be put in jail,” another chimed in.
Several Swifties also responded to the rhetoric that, as a “white billionaire,” Swift couldn’t be vulnerable to bad actors weaponizing AI.
“‘Taylor Swift is a billionaire; she’ll be fine.’ THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOU CAN GO AROUND POSTING SEXUAL AI PICS OF HER LIKE A FREAK. SHE’S STILL A HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS,” one fan posted.
“I’m not a Swifty, but the spread of Taylor Swift AI pictures should be stopped. She is a human being with feelings, no matter how rich she is; it still hurts,” another wrote.
A third fan chimed in, “PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT!!! She’s the sweetest person; she is always grateful for her fans and does anything for them!! For real, the sweetest person.”
Critics who argued that Swift, as a “white billionaire,” couldn’t be vulnerable to AI-based attacks were countered by fans asserting her humanity and right to privacy. Fans condemned the dissemination of AI-generated explicit images and called for legal consequences for those involved.
The incident adds to a challenging week for Swift, who recently faced the arrest of her alleged stalker outside her $50 million Tribeca residence.
