Now that Jason Kelce has retired from the NFL, he has more time on his hands, and it appears his post-football career could include some exciting television opportunities.
After securing a high-profile position on ESPN’s Monday Night Football coverage next season, Kelce is also being eyed for another major TV role.
Jenna Johnson, a professional dancer on “Dancing with the Stars,” has expressed her interest in having Kelce as her partner for the show’s upcoming series. Ahead of her eighth season, Johnson told PEOPLE that she believes NFL players make great dance partners because they are hard workers and can handle the rigorous demands of dance training. She highlighted Kelce’s strong work ethic and mentioned that an NFL player’s physicality would be an asset in routines that require lifting and dynamic moves.
‘A lot of the times with our male celebs, this little girl yelling at them all day to do the cha-cha-cha on time, is probably not the most fun thing always. So, I think that they can handle that,’ she added.
Johnson even suggested a potential family affair, proposing that Kelce’s wife could partner with dancer Val Chmerkovskiy if Kelce joins the show. However, Kelce has not expressed interest in participating in “Dancing with the Stars” as he prepares for his debut as an analyst on ESPN.

Kelce has signed a multi-year deal with the network, which includes appearances on Monday Night Countdown and halftime shows, as well as participation in ESPN and ABC’s coverage of Super Bowl XI in 2027. Discussing his new role on his podcast, “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother Travis, Jason shared his excitement and hinted at other potential projects. Travis congratulated him, reflecting on their childhood and how ESPN influenced their sports passion and knowledge.
In a nostalgic conversation about joining ESPN, Jason recalled Travis’s reaction, emphasizing the significance of being part of the iconic Monday Night Football team alongside noted personalities like Scott Van Pelt, Marcus Spears, and Ryan Clark. Jason conveyed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, joking about still figuring out what to wear as part of his new role.
