Is Deion Sanders planning to move on to a new opportunity?
Deion Sanders’ manager has informed the media that the Hall of Famer has no intentions of leaving his position at the University of Colorado in the foreseeable future. “He’s staying. He’s staying. He’s staying,” Constance Schwartz-Morini stated during The Rich Eisen Show.
There had been speculations circulating that Sanders, who is in the first year of a five-year deal, might depart relatively soon, with potential destinations ranging from a more prominent Power 5 program to following his sons into the NFL. However, it seems that Boulder is where Coach Prime wants to remain.
Sanders’ impact at the University of Colorado has been immediate, both on and off the field. The culture surrounding the once-great Colorado program has undergone a complete transformation. The school has sold out its home games for the first time in years, with celebrities such as Lil Wayne and DaBaby attending whenever the team plays at home. Furthermore, Sanders has already secured four wins in his first season, matching Colorado’s win total between November 2021 and the end of the 2022 season.

This weekend, Colorado will return from their bye to face #25 UCLA. The Buffs have a 5-13 all-time record against the Bruins and last defeated them in 2020. However, they have been outscored 89-37 in their last two meetings with the team. The Bruins currently hold a 5-2 record this season, with losses to Utah and Oregon State. Moreover, the Bruins will debut throwback uniforms against the Buffs, harkening back to the team’s attire from 1954 to 1970.
Nevertheless, Sanders remains confident. “My expectations are lofty. So, you know darn well how the season is going with my expectations. It depends on your expectation. You can’t mix my expectation and your expectations because they don’t coincide. You know what mine are. I know where I feel like we should be record-wise and I know what we can accomplish,” he conveyed to reporters this week. After UCLA, the Buffs will face off against #11 Oregon State, Arizona, Washington State, and #13 Utah.
One thing is certain, wherever Deion ends up, attention will inevitably follow.
