Where will Chris Paul land next season?
Shams Charania of The Athletic has reported that the Phoenix Suns are considering their options regarding veteran point guard Chris Paul. They may either trade or waive him during the summer.
If traded, the team acquiring him would have to pay his $30 million salary next season.
If waived, the Suns would still be obligated to guarantee $15.8 million of his 2023-24 salary while Paul would become a free agent. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski named the Lakers, Warriors, Clippers, and Knicks as potential landing spots for Paul.

The Lakers could use their cap space to pay him, while the Warriors, Knicks, and Clippers would offer him between the minimum salary and one of the mid-level exceptions.
With the exception of the Clippers, Paul would likely start for any of the other teams.
