It seems like Post Malone’s allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs is etched in ink — quite literally.
During a recent episode of their New Heights podcast, brothers Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce reminisced about past Super Bowls, sparking Travis to recall a memorable encounter with Malone after the Chiefs’ 2020 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Travis shared that he and quarterback Patrick Mahomes attended Malone’s concert in Kansas City post-game, still buzzing from the victory parade earlier in the day. Amidst the revelry, Malone challenged them to a friendly game of beer pong, which escalated into a competitive showdown.
As Travis recounted, he and Mahomes outplayed Malone, prompting the Grammy nominee to propose a bet: if he lost, he would get tattoos of their signatures. While Travis and Mahomes assured Malone it was just for fun, Malone, known for his ink collection, took the bet seriously.
True to his word, Malone had a tattoo artist on standby and immediately got their signatures inked after the concert. He even added the Chiefs logo somewhere on his body, cementing his loyalty to the team.
At this year’s Super Bowl aftermath, Post Malone even hinted at getting in another round of beer pong, perhaps seeking a bit of payback.
This wasn’t the first time Malone showed his support for the Chiefs. After this year’s Super Bowl, where he performed “America the Beautiful,” Malone attended an afterparty wearing a Dallas Cowboys jacket, only to have Brittany Mahomes, Patrick’s wife, swap it out for a Chiefs jacket, further solidifying Malone’s connection to the championship-winning team.
