Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic heated up an online altercation with Bill Simmons, CEO of The Ringer, this Sunday.
While watching the Suns face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Simmons, a former ESPN commentator, witnessed some on-court tension between Suns’ Bradley Beal and Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards.
The exchange included verbal jabs and minor shoving, leading Simmons to predict a collapse for the Suns on his X social media platform, after they provoked Edwards.

Simmons posted, “Oh no… the Suns went up big early and talked trash to Ant… STORY DEVELOPING,” with the profanity omitted.
Contrary to Simmons’ speculation, the Suns maintained a significant lead throughout and sealed a 125-106 win over the Timberwolves.
Post-game, Nurkic sharply retorted to Simmons’ premature narrative, commenting, “Developing your ass.”
The game concluded with Edwards scoring only 13 points on 3/7 shooting, while Beal excelled with 36 points on 14/21 shooting, significantly outperforming the Timberwolves star.
Throughout the season, Simmons has been vocally critical of the Suns on his podcast, especially questioning Beal’s value over former Sun Landry Shamet and expressing doubts about Nurkic’s durability. However, Nurkic has played in 76 games this season, marking one of his healthiest seasons to date.
