Jena Sims has finally shared a glimpse of her debut in the upcoming May 2024 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
The 35-year-old model and philanthropist took to Instagram on Tuesday to post behind-the-scenes footage from her rookie photoshoot, much to the delight of her followers.
Celebrating the release of her long-awaited content, Sims captioned her post, “That feeling when you no longer have to gatekeep your @si_swimsuit Rookie shoot content!!!!” The footage featured Sims modeling various swimsuits against the radiant backdrop of Mexico.
The post quickly drew attention across social media, with enthusiastic reactions including from Sims’ husband, five-time major golf champion Brooks Koepka, who proudly exclaimed, “That’s my wife!!! Hell yeah!!!!!” and added four heart-eyed emojis.

This milestone follows Sims being named a co-winner of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s annual Swimsearch casting call, alongside six other women, after three previous attempts to make it into the prestigious magazine.
Reflecting on her journey, Sims shared with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, “I think you can learn so much with rejection. I’m a Capricorn, I’m very stubborn. So if I have a goal, I’m gonna go after it. I’m big on making the first move. I made the first move on my now husband, some of my biggest opportunities in life, some of my collaborations … I made the first move.”
The photoshoot took place in Cancun this past December, just four months after Sims and Koepka welcomed their first child, a son named Crew. “I was so proud of how I looked,” Sims remarked in an interview with The Post. “I worked my ass off.”
The celebration at the photoshoot was equally memorable, featuring a bottle of Clase Azul tequila that Sims bought from her hotel pool bar. “The bartender was like, ‘Are you sure you want this whole bottle,’ and I’m like, ‘Trust me, yes,’ and I brought it to the shoot and I made everyone a shot and we all took a shot together,” she recounted.
Amid these professional highs, Sims also supported Koepka at the 2024 Masters earlier this month. The couple, who first met at the tournament in 2015, will soon celebrate their second wedding anniversary in June. Despite last year’s near victory, Koepka finished this year’s Masters tied for 45th, at nine-over par.
