Even in retirement from football, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady continue to maintain a friendly sense of competition.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Manning shared an amusing anecdote about a recent flight back from Hawaii on Delta Airlines. He recounted the experience of sitting in the coach section at the back of the plane, offering a stark contrast to Tom Brady’s recent lavish vacation on his $6 million yacht in the Bahamas.
“Did he fly Delta to get to the yacht?” Manning, 47, asked, referring to Brady’s recent partnership with the airline as a long-term strategic adviser. “Is there a direct Delta flight into the Bahamas so that he can get onto the yacht? I was on a Delta flight the other night, I flew back from Hawaii. My flight got canceled.”
He added, “I was in 36F. Has Tom sat in 36F on a Delta flight, what do you think A.J.?”
Manning continued, “They put me in an exit row, Pat, which was great for leg room but I swear the door was open. It was as cold as I’ve ever been. I’ve played in some cold-weather games, I’ve been in Green Bay, played in New England. I asked the flight attendant, ‘Is there a warmer blanket?’ She was so disappointed that I was complaining about being cold, she wouldn’t give me a blanket, and I was like, ‘I’m just freezing ma’am’.”

Meanwhile, in the Bahamas, the 46-year-old Brady was captured aboard his luxurious Wajer 77 superyacht, enjoying the sunshine and some well-deserved relaxation.
Despite his serene surroundings, Brady managed to offer a lighthearted response to his former NFL rival’s plane ride story.
On the October 9 episode of his SiriusXM podcast, “Let’s Go! with Tom Brady,” featuring Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, the 46-year-old Brady playfully quipped that his family would be quite displeased if he attempted to come out of retirement from football for a second time. He humorously stated, “My parents would call, my kids would call. They would give me a hard time. I wouldn’t make it through the night.”
The mutual respect between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is truly commendable.
