During last Monday night’s “Manningcast,” Eli and Peyton Manning playfully referred to Tommy DeVito’s agent as Sean “Slimy” Stellato, a nickname that didn’t sit well with Stellato. He expressed his displeasure on WFAN’s “Boomer & Gio” show last week.
“I don’t know if that’s just him being a Southern dude,” Stellato commented. “But I don’t understand where ‘slimy’ comes from. Never heard that nickname in my life. That ‘slimy,’ that word has never entered my head, ever.”

In a later edition of the “Manningcast,” Peyton Manning, the Hall of Famer, issued an apology to Stellato, acknowledging that he would be more considerate towards agents in the future. He expressed his belief that agents shouldn’t be on the sidelines pregame and mentioned that his own agent never occupied that space during his illustrious career.
“I signed my contract. I said call me in six years when it’s time to renegotiate. That’s the role of an agent at an actual football game. But I wanna apologize to Sean. Seems like a great guy. I apologize, Sean, for making fun of your outfit.”
This public apology reflects the Manning brothers’ good-natured approach, clarifying that their intent was not to be mean-spirited but rather to have some lighthearted fun with Stellato’s attire.
